Dealing with Loneliness in our Lives (A sermon by Dr. Robert J. Goode preached in 1985)

I would like to take a moment and introduce you to my father, Dr. Robert J. Goode. Dad has been and will always be one of my greatest earthly influences which he displayed through the way he lived. He had many accomplishments such as the president of the NC Baptists Pastors, and an Executive Committee member of SBC where he served with Dr. Jerry Vines, Dr. Charles Stanley, and Dr. Adrian Rodgers. I will be the first to admit I am proud of him for all these accomplishments, but they don't hold a candle to the kind of loving and genuine father he was to my brother and I. He modeled for us an unconditional and sincere love of Jesus Christ and in turn we were the recipients of that example by the way he loved us. Please be my guest to listen to this special presentation of a sermon preached at Florida Street Baptist Church in Greensboro NC in 1985. Dad went on to be with the Lord on August 25, 2000 at the age of 68.
