Sex is a Biblical Responsibilty to your Spouse? Sacred Marriage Session Four (Part One)

Did you know that it is a willful act of rebellion when we refuse to meet our spouse's sexual needs? Whether you agree with me or not is irrelevant because I just disclosed a Biblical guideline for spouse's regarding sex outlined in 1 Corinthians 7:4. Since this is the Biblical mandate outlined in scripture, then where have we gotten the idea that it is okay to selfishly pursue sex or even use it as a weapon to get what we want? Only one click of the television or internet will show you that the world has given us a perverse and deluded image of what sex should be in and out of marriage. Sex is a selfless act of giving ordained by God and provided to meet the needs of our spouse. The problem is we all have alot of inaccurate presuppositions about sex in our marriage that have distorted the way we use sex in our marriage. Refusing to meet our spouse's needs is no different than any other willful sin we commit and impacts the intimacy of our relationship with Christ!
