Ideas on Ways to Celebrate when your Child Commits their life to Jesus Christ

Presentation:

It was the morning of April 12th, 2008 that Noah’s dad awoke to Noah praying, “Dear Jesus I love you with all of my heart and want to be in heaven with you one day. Jesus please come into my heart,in Jesus name Amen.” Noah’s dad said that, “what struck me about the prayer is that Noah didn’t wake me first, but just began to pray. Noah wasn’t looking for my seal of approval to pray, but just knew it was time.”

Noah was asked repeatedly who told him to ask Jesus into his heart and he has always said that it was Jesus who told him. The weeks before Noah prayed he had been asking many questions about sin and going to heaven. It was almost surreal to watch how God could make a four year old so aware of the nature of sin. Scripture memorization and Bible stories have always been a part of his upbringing, but to see God’s hand so real in Noah’s life has been inspiring. Noah’s love for Jesus has overflowed in the Lantern Green community. His genuine love for Jesus has already spilled over to the life of both children and adults. This desire in Noah’s life has sparked new and fruitful conversations among adults in our neighborhood about who Jesus is. All of us look on with excitement about what God has in store for Noah in the years to come. We celebrate his desire to be obedient to God’s calling in his life! (Matt 19:13-15)

To commemorate this special day we made a newsletter which is attached to this post for your viewing. We also made a cake and invited special friends from the neighborhood. We then paraded down to our community pool where Noah was baptized by his To parents who may be on the brink of this moment with their children we encourage creativity and celebration! Make it a very special day that will never be forgotten!
